I grew up in Wausau, Wisconsin in a medical family. My father and two brothers are all physicians. I studied at Northwestern University, entering the Honors Program in Medical Education which included undergraduate school and medical school.

I have practiced Orthopedic Surgery in the Barrington area since 1980. During that time I have volunteered at Barrington High School as team physician and volunteered in many capacities from youth sports to Boy Scout Troop 21. I have practiced a broad range of orthopedic care including sports medicine, pediatric orthopedics and joint replacement. I have recently elected to continue caring for patients in the office, and retire from surgical care. My partners are well trained, highly capable orthopedists in whom I have full confidence and will continue the high standards we have set at Lake Cook Orthopedic Associates.
Treatment Philosophy:
I believe in treating patients as I would like to be treated. After careful consideration and diagnosis, I involve the patient in treatment decisions by educating them and offering them treatment options. I regularly attend continuing medical education courses. This allows me to offer patients up to date care with a perspective of many years of experience.
